Jirayr Sefilian Once Again Denied Republic of Armenia Citizenship

The Jirayr Sefilian Citizen’s Rights Defense Committee distributed the following announcement today:

“The Republic of Armenia administration, in line with their usual way of working, have taken their next unlawful step.

“The RA Police Passport and Visa Department on June 15, 2010, has denied Jirayr Sefilian’s appeal for a one-year temporary RA residence permit.

“The RA Police Passport and Visa Department, through its unfair, unlawful decisions, attempts to legitimate, adopting tactics of creating artificial barriers.

“Jirayr Sefilian’s appeal for RA citizenship will not be approved by the RA Police Passport and Visa Department since, according to the administration’s directors’ verbal reasoning, Jirayr Sefilyan doesn’t have a temporary RA residence status, which the RA Police Passport and Visa Department, without any justification, has decided not to issue to Jirayr Sefilian.”
