Turkey’s Hagia Sophia Could Reopen for Christian Service

Head of Turkey’s Religious Affairs Directorate Ali Bardakoglu said Aya Sofya (Hagia Sophia) Museum could be reopened for Christian religious service, reports Turkish daily Radikal.

“We are for freedom. But reopening Aya Sofya is not our call to make. Turkey does not turn into a Christian country just by allowing religious services at churches,” Bardakoglu said.
