The investigation into the reasons for the Tkibuli mine explosion is going on, said Saknakhshiri Director General Merab Chrelashvili to Georgia’s InterpressNews.
“The investigation is going on. The specialists in this sector are assembling to discuss the accident. We will have the correct information and reasons tomorrow,” said the director general of the coal extraction company.
The explosion in Tkibuli mine took place at approximately 9 pm on August 27. The accident killed three people, with 7 injured being treated in Tbilisi Scorch Centre and in Ghudushauri Clinic.
Tkibuli Mindeli mine is the property of Saknakhshiri, a subsidiary company of the Georgian Industrial Group.
