‘Professionals’ Responsible for Star Supermarket Break-In

On Sept. 5, a group broke into the Star supermarket’s Avan and Malatia-Sebastia branches in Yerevan and stole the cash drawers from inside the foreign exchange booths.

The group that robbed the supermarket chain were presumably comprised of 4 members. According to our source, that’s the number of people who installed the video cameras inside the supermarket.

The attackers, who were armed with batons, worked quite quickly: the whole process took 2–4 minutes. 

The way the criminal act was carried out points to the fact that it was a well-prepared and professional group of criminals.
