Regardless of City Hall Decision, HAK will Continue to Fight: Musinyan

The Armenian National Congress’ (HAK) strategy remains unchanged, said Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s press spokesperson Arman Musinyan in a phone conversation with Epress.am today.

According to him, HAK will continue to submit claims to Yerevan City Hall to hold a rally in Freedom (Liberty) Square.

“The ruling authorities represented by city hall will attempt to resist, through unlawful activities, but the Armenian National Congress will re-conquer Freedom Square,” said Musinyan.

Asked whether HAK will appeal Yerevan City Hall’s decision today in court, Musinyan said he’s not an attorney and he finds it difficult to provide a legal response, however, he added: “It’s clear, that we’ll protest.”

As previously reported, Yerevan City Hall today denied the opposition group’s request to hold a rally in Freedom Square on Sept. 24. Earlier, city hall had denied the group’s request to hold a rally in the same location, but on Sept. 17.

HAK has already submitted a request to hold the rally on Sept. 28.
