New Director of Armenian Public TV will Attempt to Breathe New Life into H1

The new director of Armenia’s Public Television (H1) company is Gagik Buniatyan, said Public TV President Alexan Harutyunyan.

Note that the candidates for the position, Vitali Avanesov, Jasmena Ghevondyan, Lavrenti Mirzoyan and Gagik Buniatyan, had been interviewed by the National Radio and Television Commission.

On Sept. 25, Harutyunyan, in a joint press conference with Buniatyan, said that the work which was begun with Tigran Naghdalyan and continued with Armen Arzumanyan, will continue also with the new director.

“He has a lot of experience, meaning that there will be many new programs,” said Harutyunyan.

Buniatyan, in turn, said that there won’t be revolutionary changes to the First Channel (H1).

“I’ll try to breathe new life into the First Channel, but the overall idealogy will remain the same,” he said.
