First Armenian Embassy in Spain Opens

The Republic of Armenia Embassy in Madrid opened its doors to Spanish-Armenians and many others on Sept. 26.

A reception was hosted by the — thanks to the Spanish-Armenian community — newly renovated embassy dedicated to the 19th anniversary of Armenia’s independence and the opening of the Armenian embassy in Spain.

Representatives from Armenian educational and cultural institutions from Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga and Alicante, among others, were present at the reception.

Upon an invitation by RA Charge d’Affaires in Spain Khoren Terterian, (Armenian General Benevolent Union) AGBU Europe Special Advisors Sona Attamian and Michel Sabbagh, and member Françoise Govdian came to Madrid from Barcelona, where they were present for the Sept. 25 opening of “Casa Armenia” (Armenia House), reports the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
