Armenia Second Country in World Where HD Audio Program Introduced

Armenia is the second country in the world where the HD audio program has been introduced, said France Telecom (Orange) Technocenter Executive Vice President Yves Tyrode today, in a meeting with RA Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan.

Tyrode also said that the company is announcing a competition for the next three years for Yerevan State University and Yerevan State Architecture University students where the winner will have the chance to work at Orange laboratories for 6 months.

According to a piece in The New York Times last year, France Telecom was the first mobile operator to transmit voice calls and audio in high definition, part of an effort by telecommunications companies to improve the quality of cellphone conversations.
