European Liberals in Helsinki Approved Release of Armenia’s Political Prisoners Request

Armenian National Congress (HAK) coordinator Levon Zurabyan, speaking at the HAK rally in front of the Matenadaran (Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts) only moments ago, said that  just now Aram Manukyan called him from Helsinki and asked him to pass on the following information.

“Representatives from 86 liberal political parties from 37 countries have gathered in Helsinki, and the demand to release political prisoners in Armenia was unanimously approved at Helsinki European Congress [Congress of the European Liberal Democrats (ELDR Party)].

“They once again proved that the existence of political prisoners in Armenia is a face and they call on the RA authorities to immediately release all political prisoners and stop political persecutions.”
