Turkish Politicians were Unable to ‘Provide Any Reasonable Arguments to Back their Claims’: Armenia’s NSS

Powerful Turkey (Güçlü Türkiye Partisi, GTP) political party leader Tuna Bekleviç and vice-chair Baybars Örsek were warned that “their behavior and irresponsible statements are unacceptable” and they were asked to leave Armenia, said an official statement today by the Republic of Armenia National Security Service (NSS) press center.

Statements by Powerful Turkey party leader Tuna Bekleviç and vice-chair Baybars Örsek were disseminated by different, including electronic, media on Oct. 11 that they had crossed the RA state border illegally, with the aim of drawing governments’ attention to the issue of opening the Armenia-Turkey border.

Armenia’s National Security Service and border guards with the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) took the relevant measures, but, however, were unable to confirm the news.

In order to receive some explanations to the aforementioned statements, on Oct. 29, Bekleviç and Örsek were invited to the NSS building where they were unable to provide any reasonable arguments to back up their claim in crossing the Armenia-Turkey border.
