No Need for Sargsyan, Aliyev to Meet for Sake of Meeting: US OSCE MG Co-Chair

On Sunday, the US and Russian OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, Robert Bradtke and Igor Popov, departed from Baku to Astana, Kazakhstan, to attend the upcoming OSCE Summit, the framework of which discussions on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are to take place.

Bradtke, interviewed by Azerbaijani TV channel ANS on Sunday, said that the mediators were trying to get results: “We held several days of talks in Baku and Yerevan. We talked at the meetings about what could be achieved at the Astana summit. We think the talks went well,” reports Day.az.

He said, however, that it was too early to say anything about the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents in Astana. “There’s no need to hold meetings for the sake of meetings. We want to see results.”
