Fewer Incidents of Flu in Armenia This Year than Last

The flu and acute respiratory infections epidemic situation in the Republic of Armenia is relatively stable, reports the RA Ministry of Healthcare.

As a result of monthly monitoring, compared to last year, cases of acute respiratory infections through Jan.–Oct. this year were reduced by 1.3 times, while confirmed incidents of the flu were reduced 4 times.

Weekly monitoring takes place at the start of flu season in Armenia, as a result of which last week’s figures on flu and acute respiratory infections as compared to the same period last year have dropped by 5.4 times overall — dropped by 4.9 times in children aged 0–14 and 3 times in those older than 14 years of age.
