RA General Prosecutor Declines National Security Service Director Post

According to local media reports, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan intends to send National Security Service (NSS) Director Gorik Hakobyan into retirement on Dec. 18, a professional day that celebrates NSS employees.

Sargsyan has proposed RA General Prosecutor Aghvan Hovsepyan for the new post, reports local daily Jamanak (“Times”). The daily, citing trusted sources, also reports that Hovsepyan declined from leaving his current post and taking up the position of NSS director.
