Disability Month Marked in Armenia

The National Committee of Disability Issues of the Republic of Armenia recently marked Disability Month from Nov. 15 to Dec. 15 by organizing a campaign which included the distribution of posters, round table discussions, debates at schools, film shows, lectures and meetings at universities, radio and TV programs, and many other events held in Yerevan and in the regions.


According to a press release issued by Bridge of Hope NGO, the aim of Disability Month is to raise the awareness on disability issues in Armenia and to promote creation of equal opportunities for people with disabilities for social inclusion and participation.

The last event will be a flashmob organized by Bridge of Hope NGO and Flashmob division with support of Mission East on Dec. 15 at 2 pm on Northern Avenue of Yerevan under the slogan “Unite for Equal Opportunities.”
