Armenia’s Consumer Price Index Grew by 8.1%

Armenia’s GDP (gross domestic product) for the period Jan.–Nov. 2010 was 3,104,505,500,000 drams (a little over 3 trillion drams, which is about $8.6 billion US), while the economic growth amounted to 2.6% for the same period, according to the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia. 

Armenia’s consumer price index for Nov. 2010 as compared to the same month last year grew by 8.1%. The growth in Nov. 2010 as compared to Oct. 2010 was 1.6%.

Average monthly wage in Jan.–Nov. 2010 was 106,238 drams (about $295): in state institutions it was 85,576 drams (about $238), while in the private sector the average monthly wage was 132,760 drams (about $369). Compared to Oct. of this year, the average monthly salary rose by 0.9% in Nov. 2010.
