Armenia’s Prosecutor General Denies Revelry Allegations

RA Prosecutor General Agvan Hovsepyan did not take part in the Ojakh (“Hearth”) restaurant revelries and is unaware whether such partying took place there or not, said the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, denying such allegations published by local Armenian daily Hraparak today.

Recall that Hraparak (which means “square” as in a gathering place) published a story today in which it stated that during one of the festive gatherings at Ojakh in which Hovsepyan, Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan and others took part, the partying grew so heated that revelers moved their party, replete with musicians and singers, to the park. During a particular intensive moment, the guests took out their guns and began to shoot.

“Respecting the public’s right to verified and impartial information, I officially state that this published information is completely false, a lie, imaginary and slanderous,” said the RA Prosecutor General.
