Armenian Women Encouraged to Talk About their Issues on Stage

This year for the first time the Vagina Monologues will be performed in Armenian.

The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play written by Eve Ensler. The production has been staged internationally. In 1998, Ensler and others, launched V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and girls.

The Women’s Resource Center of Armenia, the organizer of the event in Yerevan, is looking for women of all ages to come to a casting to be held on Thursday, Jan. 20 from 3 to 7 pm.

“The casting will be held at the Women’s Resource Center which is located on Baghramyan’s first side street, 14th building, 5th entrance, 106 apartment. You don’t have to be an experienced actress in order to try out,” reads the notice posted on the group’s Facebook page.
