Armenia Must Boycott PACE Decision on Karabakh Subcommittee: Alaverdyan

Heritage Party MP Larisa Alaverdyan considers the decision by the Parliamentary Assembly to the Council of Europe (PACE) to create of a subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh a violation of protocol. The Armenian member of parliament called the move unprecedented, referring to the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group.

Furthermore, Alaverdyan noted the decision is a result of policy based on lies by Azerbaijan, noting that, in this sense, the delegates from Azerbaijan are “very active.”

Speaking on the need to boycott the subcommittee, Alaverdyan said, prior to boycotting, a written appeal must be submitted explaining why the Armenian delegation is against the formation of such a subcommittee.

According to her, Armenia must push forward the condition to review the decision.
