Vegetables Canned in Karabakh Now Sold in Abkhaz Stores

The goods of Artsakh Fruit CJSC, popular among Russian consumers, can now be found in Abkhazia, an unrecognized, de-facto independent state which broke away from Georgia in 2008. As reported by Yerkramas, vegetables canned and jarred in Nagorno-Karabakh can now be found on the shelves of Abhkhazia’s capital.

Already in its fourth year in Nagorno-Karabakh, Artsakh Fruit produces about 35 different types of products. The company’s average volume of production amounts to 600,000 cans, from 200g jars to 11 kg.

About 30% of products are sold in Karabakh, with the remaining being sold in Armenia and abroad. The company’s selection of jam, marmalade, syrups, pickled goods, canned and jarred fruits and vegetables is exported to France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, the Netherlands and other European countries.
