Russian Citizens Detained by Armenian Police After In-Flight Fighting

At 3:30 am on Mar. 25, the police division at Zvartnots Airport received a call by flight crew that acts of hooliganism took place on Moscow-Yerevan flight no. 191, according to the RA Police press office.

Once the plane landed, police officers detained citizens of Russia Anton V., 41; Bogdan A., 31; Sergei S., 31; Sergei P., 29; Dmitry K., 35; and Mikheil G., 31, on suspicion of hooliganism.

According to police reports, an argument took place among the group, which led to cursing and physical violence that resulted in bodily injuries, not to mention disrupting public order.

A case under RA Criminal Code Article 258 Section 2 has been initiated and an investigation is underway.
