Three Armenians Leading Standings in European Women’s Chess Championship

There are three Armenian players among those leading the standings in the European Women’s Individual Chess Championship.

Among 16 players, IM Lilit Mkrtchian, GM Elina Danielian and IM Lilit Galojan all have two out of a possible two points. WGM Nelli Aginian and WFM Anna Hairapetian, both have one point; WFM Lia Martirosyan, WFM Anahit Kharatyan and Siranush Ghukasyan have half a point, while Maria Gevorgyan has no points.

Today Lilit Mkrtchian and Lilit Galojan will play off against each other, while Elina Danielian will play against Georgia’s IM Nino Khurtsidze.

The tournament is taking place in Tbilisi from May 7–18.
