Yerevan City Hall: Campaign to Ban Smoking Continues, 60 CCTV Cameras Installed

The process of carrying out city-wide programs and issues related to economic management in the Armenian capital were discussed at a Yerevan City Hall working meeting, according to a press release issued by the municipality today.

During the meeting it was noted that all those establishments that provide service in public places have been notified of the campaign to ban smoking in public places. As a result of monitoring carried out jointly by Kanachastan Environmental NGO and Yerevan City Hall, those establishments that offer a separate area for smokers have received letters of appreciation from organizers. The head of the trade and services division at Yerevan City Hall stated that activities related to this campaign continue.

Yerevan City Hall would also like to inform the public that installed at some of the busier intersections in the city are 60 CCTV cameras, through which vehicular traffic can be monitored.
