Photo Exhibit Dedicated to Gayané Khachaturian Opens Friday in Yerevan

A photo exhibition dedicated to the memory of Tbilisi-born painter Gayané Khachaturian will open on Jul. 1 at 5 pm at the Yerevan Modern Art Museum.

According to the event page on Facebook created by the Modern Art Museum (which currently doesn’t have a website), the event is organized along with the National Congress of Armenians in Georgia.

According to the National Congress of Armenians in Georgia website, this exhibit was previously displayed — at the Georgian Parliament National Library in Nov. 2010.

Note, Khachaturian’s work was the sole work comprising Armenia’s Pavilion at the 53rd International Art Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia (Venice Art Biennial), shortly after her passing in May 2009.
