Georgian Airline Airzena Won’t be Sold to Armavia Armenian Airline Owner

Georgian air carrier Airzena is not for sale, said a company representative in response to a statement by Armavia Armenian airline owner Mikhail Baghdasarov, who said he received an offer to purchase the Georgian airline, reports GHN news agency.

Airzena representative Nino Giorgebiani said there has been no such talk between the Georgian and Armenian companies. Company representatives met a week ago, but discussed the likelihood of cooperation.

Discussed during the conversation between Armavia and Airzena representatives was reinstating the Yerevan-Tbilisi flight, though the Georgian side has not yet received Armavia’s list of possible flight schedules, she said.

“And if Armavia’s president wants to buy something, he can always express his wish to do so,” Giorgebiani said.
