Father Vahram Melikyan, press spokesperson for His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, has responded to a video shared online yesterday in which His Holiness Karekin II is speaking with His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia.
“The video disseminated online has been edited and distorts the meeting of the two Catholicoses, in which, by the way, those who filmed the meeting were not allowed to be present.
“Just like the draft communique being made public, this is another provocation that we see by the Georgian side, which, for reasons incomprehensible to us, they turn into a subject of speculation in some circles,” he said.
