Armenian Prime Minister Invited Russian Companies to Bid on North-South Road Construction

During a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan proposed to Russian companies  to bid for a tender for the North-South Road Corridor Construction Project.

The Armenian government established the North-South Road Corridor Investment Program in January of last year and the agreement with the Asian Development Bank for $500 million USD in financial assistance.

The PM noted that Armenia is preparing to build a high-speed North-South road corresponding to European standards.

The first $180 million USD tender will be held on Jul. 11.
