Nagorno-Karabakh Authorities Investigating Case of Azerbaijani Drone

There was noticeable activity recently by the unmanned Azerbaijani aircraft along the line of contact of Karabakh and Azerbaijan forces, reports the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army press service.

 

A statement sent to the Armenian press notes that on the morning of Sept. 12, in the vicinity of the village of Vazgenashen in the Martuni region, the NKR Defense Army shot down the drone which local authorities say crossed into Karabakh airspace.

 

Parts of the aircraft are now under the jurisdiction of corresponding services of the NKR Defense Army.

 

An ad-hoc committee has been established to examine the circumstances of the case. An investigation is underway.
