OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Cross Armenia-Azerbaijan Border

On Nov. 29, the OSCE mission conducted a ceasefire monitoring near the town of Kayan in the Ijevan-Ghazakh section, according to a press statement issued by Armenia’s Ministry of Defense.

From Armenia’s positions, the monitoring was conducted by Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk, Coordinator of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Imre Palatinus, Field Assistants Hristo Hristov and Marius Puojunas. During the monitoring, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs crossed the Armenia-Azerbaijan border by foot.

During a press briefing in Tavush Marzpetaran (regional seat) before the monitoring, the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Line of Contact, violations of the ceasefire regime and actions by Azerbaijani snipers were discussed.

The monitoring took place without incident.
