Artist Activists’ ‘Counterstrike’ to Failed March to Presidential Residence

Local art activist group Hakaharvats ("counterstrike" or "counterblow") today held another protest on Mashtots Ave. near Pushkin St.

Two days after protestors wearing Guy Fawkes masks in Yerevan attempted to march to the presidential residence located at 26 Baghramyan Ave. but failed after clashing with police, young artist activists spread a more than 20-meter-long banner across Mashtots Ave. with the slogan "Toward Baghramyan 26" (that is, toward the presidential residence). Though cars stopped or slowed down for a time, mostly they drove over it, all the way till the banner reached the intersection of Mashtots and Tumanyan.
