Raffi Hovannisian Proposes Meeting with Leaders of Four Non-Ruling Parties: Hraparak

The meeting between Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) leader Gagik Tsarukyan and Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovannisian took place at Tsarukyan's home in Arinj, and upon Hovannisian's request, it was not recorded, reports local daily Hraparak.

According to the newspaper's sources, Hovannisian's main proposal was to organize a meeting of the leaders of the four non-ruling parties (BHK, Heritage Party, Armenian National Congress, and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation). According to Hovannisian, he, Tsarukyan, Levon Ter-Petrossian, and Hrant Margaryan appearing on the frontline will both increase public trust in their parties and if necessary, they will not hesitate to threaten the authorities with [taking to] the street, and the authorities' fear will increase. He also asked that the issue of complete regime change be put to discussion in this format.

"Naturally, the request was rejected by National Security Council [board] member BHK leader. After this, doubts arose in the quartet that the Heritage Party might at some point quit this format and advance his game," adds the paper.
