Azerbaijan has Returned the Corpse of Karen Petrosyan back to Armenia

Today, Azerbaijan has returned the corpse of Karen Petrosyan, who was taken captive on August 7. Epress.am was told by the International Committee of the Red Cross’s Yerevan office media spokesperson Zara Amatuni.

The transfer took place near the Gazakh region’s Jafarli village in Azerbaijan, toward Ijevan, Armenia.

Chinari village resident Karen Petrosyan was taken captive on August 7 and died within a day. Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry claimed that Petrosyan was a saboteur and died due to a heart failure. Armenia’s Defense Ministry stated that Petrosyan was not serving in the military and his family claimed that he did not have health issues.

Armenian mass media quickly presented evidence that Petrosyan was not dressed in military attire when he initially crossed the border before he was brought to an Azerbaijani general and brought to his knees.
