Armenian Parliament Approves Draft Constitution

With 104 MPs voting yes, the Armenian National Assembly approved on Monday the final text of the draft Constitutional amendments. The draft, which will subsequently be put to a referendum, received just ten objections and three abstentions.

“Heritage” faction leader Zaruhi Postanjyan, “Rule of Law” members Heghine Bisharyan and Ishkhan Khachatryan, as well as the entirety of Armenian National Congress faction, with the exception of MP Lyudmila Sargsyan, voted against the amendments.
