Armenian Government Allocates Land in Armavir to Governor’s Brother: Ilur.am

A 15-hectare piece of land in Armenia's Armavir province will be alienated to a company owned by Armavir governor Ashot Ghahramanyan's brother. As reported by Armenian Ilur.am, Aram Ghahramanyan's co-founded Greeneco-Kas company will receive the area with the aim of building a landfill waste processing plant and a greenhouse.

At a Cabinet session on Thursday, October 8, the Armenian Government approved the Armenian-Czech company's 33-Euro investment program for the construction of a waste processing plant and a greenhouse in the territory of Armavir province. According to the Executive's official statement, the agreement around the plant had been reached in 2014, during the working visit of a governor-led delegation to Czech Republic.

“In other words, [Ashot Ghahramanyan] made a working visit to Czech Republic, reached an agreement over building a waste processing plant and a greenhouse in Armenia, specifically, in Armavir province, and a company was founded for this purpose 50% of which is owned by his own brother,” Ilur.am writes.
