Armenian Authorities Plan to Cut Civil Servants’ Year-End Bonuses: Press

Armenian authorities have decided to stop paying the so-called 13th salary to employees of state institutions for the time being, local "Zhoghovurd" newspaper reports, citing alerts received from the staff of the RA Civil Service Council.

“The employees of state institutions, civil servants usually receive incentive payments equivalent to one-month salary at the end of the year. However, since state budget revenues for the first 9 months of this year were less than the planned 50 billion drams – and this number is expected to increase further by the end of the year – and since the outlook for next year is not very encouraging either, authorities are already trying to come up with cost-cutting initiatives,” the paper stresses.
