Lori TV Editor-In-Chief Attacked in Vanadzor

The director and several employees of the Shinplus construction company attacked Lori TV editor-in-chief Narine Avetisyan on Friday evening and took away the reporter’s mobile phone; a criminal case has been launched into the incident, Avetisyan wrote on her personal Facebook page.

“I received a phone call and was informed that asphalt paving works were being conducted under heavy rain on a bridge near the St. Mary Church in Vanadzor. I had only managed to take a few photos when I was brutally attacked by Shinplus construction company head Tigran Nazaryan,” the reporter said, adding that Nazaryan, along with his employees, threw her to the ground, twisted her arms and took away her camera.

Avetisyan promptly reported the incident to the police, who found her mobile phone at the scene. A police expert criminologist later said that the photos taken by Avetisyan had been removed from the device.

“I have information that the [Nazaryan] is trying to put the blame on his driver… Nazaryan’s black Mercedes G500 with a 77GG777 plate was parked near the scene during expert works… I later saw the same car outside the Taron police station,” the reporter alleged.
