Dozen People Denied Participation in Court Hearing on Sefilyan

Twelve people were today denied participation in the court hearing of the case of Karabakh war veteran, prominent oppositionist Zhirayr Sefilyan; the bailiff refused to let the people into the courtroom, citing a sanction imposed by presiding judge Tatevik Grigoryan.

Activist Stella Aghajanyan, one of the 12 people who were denied entrance, said in conversation with Epress.am that none of them had been notified about the sanction beforehand and were only told about it at the court.

Human rights advocate Artur Sakunts, head of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor Office, has filed an appeal with the court, requesting a copy of the judge’s decision.
