Madoyan for negligence which resulted in a patient&#8217;s death. The preliminary investigation by police in Armenia&#8217;s Shirak region has been completed and the prosecutor has confirmed the bill of indictment, according to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.genproc.am\/en\/125\/item\/6718\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">statement<\/span><\/strong><\/a> by the RA General Prosecutor&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>The preliminary investigation revealed that on Jun. 18, 2010, Dr. Madoyan, a gynecologist working at Gyumri Polyclinic 1, examined a female patient (E. Yeghoyan) and &#8220;decided to analyze the fat on the cervix,&#8221; reads the statement.<\/p>\n<p>According to the preliminary investigation body, there was no need to analyze the fat on the cervix. Furthermore, which fulfilling his professional duties &#8220;improperly,&#8221; Dr. Madoyan injected the patient with Lidocaine, as a result of which E. Yeghoyan had an anaphylactic shock, fell into a coma and died.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Madoyan is charged according to the Section 2 of RA Criminal Code Article 130 (&#8220;Failure to implement or improper implementation of professional duties by medical and support personnel&#8221;). He has signed a written pledge not to leave the country.
