{"id":110262,"date":"2011-06-30T17:50:52","date_gmt":"2011-06-30T12:50:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=110262"},"modified":"2011-06-30T17:50:52","modified_gmt":"2011-06-30T12:50:52","slug":"video-planking-as-armenian-flag-to-the-tune-of-the-national-anthem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/06\/30\/video-planking-as-armenian-flag-to-the-tune-of-the-national-anthem.html","title":{"rendered":"VIDEO: Planking as Armenian Flag to the Tune of the National Anthem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new video has been posted on YouTube which shows Armenian planking enthusiasts in the formation and colors of the Republic of Armenia&#8217;s flag (red, blue and orange) &#8220;waving&#8221; below the country&#8217;s national anthem.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Armenian-Planking-Federation\/223013924383017?sk=wall\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Facebook page<\/strong><\/span><\/a> dedicated to planking enthusiasts in Armenia also notes that they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/event.php?eid=232430636775964\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>will be gathering<\/strong><\/span><\/a> Friday at 7 pm in Victory Park, in their words, &#8220;to plank and get silly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The term \u201cplanking\u201d actually seems to originate from Australia. Elsewhere, it\u2019s also known as \u201cplaying dead\u201d (South Korea), \u00e0 plat ventre (\u201con one\u2019s belly\u201d in France), \u201cextreme lying down\u201d (Australasia) and \u201cfacedowns\u201d (US and Ireland).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe width=\"425\" height=\"344\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_VdmZ_AWFz4?wmode=transparent\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen> <\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2011\/06\/20\/extreme-lying-down-planking-craze-comes-to-armenia-photos.html\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>previously reported<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, residents of Armenia who want to play have to first lie face down, hands at their sides (think flat like a plank), and have their photo taken. They can then either upload the photo on the Armenian Planking Federation page or post it on their own wall and tag the group. According to those behind the group, &#8220;The most important rule is to give a unique name to the photo.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Organizers, however, caution players not to put themselves in dangerous situations. \u201cThe Federation doesn\u2019t bear responsibility for your life.
