Of course, Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page are on the social networking, but there’s also another tech heavyweight using the new Google feature: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. This may come as a surprise since Google is claiming Google+ will be a contender to Facebook, but as the saying goes, keep your friends close and your enemies closer, reports Geek.com, citing VentureBeat.

Zuckerberg is most likely checking out the inner workings of the new venture, sussing out what the competition has to offer. Though Google+ is still “rolling out” and adding new members, it’s still somewhat exclusive. Google sent around invites to many members of the tech industry media on Tuesday and then briefly opened up invites for a few hours last night. Those who were already on Google+ could invite friends. However, that didn’t last long before Google+ was over capacity again and not offering any more invites.

We don’t know who invited Zuckerberg to the Google+ party, but people who are currently on Google+ can search and find him. I took a quick look and found his profile, which was very bare (although so is mine). Zuckerberg doesn’t look very happy in his profile pic, either. Could it be that someone’s grumpy about a potential threat to Facebook? All Zuck’s profile says as of now under the “About” tab is “I make things.”

There’s always a possibility that this is someone pretending to be Zuckerberg, but it looks pretty convincing.
