{"id":114350,"date":"2011-07-18T23:46:41","date_gmt":"2011-07-18T18:46:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=114350"},"modified":"2011-07-22T12:35:18","modified_gmt":"2011-07-22T07:35:18","slug":"nalbandian-to-lavrov-armenia-will-respond-to-medvedev-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/07\/18\/nalbandian-to-lavrov-armenia-will-respond-to-medvedev-soon.html","title":{"rendered":"Nalbandian to Lavrov: &#8216;Armenia Will Respond to Medvedev Soon&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Armenia will respond to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev&#8217;s proposals on settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict soon, Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian told Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov during a phone conversation on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Following a meeting of the presidents of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in Kazan on Jun. 24, Lavrov paid a visit to Yerevan and Baku and passed on Medvedev&#8217;s message to the leaders of the two countries which stated his proposals regarding the Karabakh peace process.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement by the Russian foreign ministry. Lavrov and Nalbandian discussed a range of issues during their phone conversation.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2011\/07\/18\/mammadyarov-in-moscow-delivers-bakus-response-to-medvedevs-karabakh-proposal.html\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">reported earlier today<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, Azerbaijan&#8217;s foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov was to meet with Lavrov in Moscow today. During their meeting, Mammadyarov was to pass on a letter by the Azerbaijani president containing Baku\u2019s official response to Medvedev\u2019s proposals. Azerbaijan&#8217;s foreign minister refused to share the details of the letter.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I won&#8217;t detail the contents [of the letter]&#8230; this is my president&#8217;s letter to Dmitry Anatolyevich; it would be wrong to speak about the details,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Lavrov, Medvedev has not yet read the response letter.
