{"id":115393,"date":"2011-07-22T12:15:56","date_gmt":"2011-07-22T07:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=115393"},"modified":"2011-07-22T12:15:56","modified_gmt":"2011-07-22T07:15:56","slug":"yerevan-city-hall-gives-green-light-to-new-hotel-adjacent-to-republic-square-metro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/07\/22\/yerevan-city-hall-gives-green-light-to-new-hotel-adjacent-to-republic-square-metro.html","title":{"rendered":"Yerevan City Hall Gives Green Light to New Hotel Adjacent to Republic Square Metro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A proposal to build a 7\u20138 story hotel in the area adjacent to the Republic (&#8220;Hanrapetutyun&#8221;) metro station was on the agenda of a Yerevan City Council meeting chaired by Yerevan mayor Karen Karapetyan on Jul. 21.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yerevan.am\/1_2676_news_%D5%86%D5%B8%D6%80%20%D5%B0%D5%B5%D5%B8%D6%82%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%B6%D5%B8%D6%81%20%D5%AF%D5%A1%D5%BC%D5%B8%D6%82%D6%81%D5%A5%D5%AC%D5%B8%D6%82%20%D5%AE%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%A3%D5%AB%D6%80%D5%B6%20%D5%A1%D6%80%D5%AA%D5%A1%D5%B6%D5%A1%D6%81%D5%A5%D5%AC%20%D5%A7%20%D6%84%D5%A1%D5%B2%D5%A1%D6%84%D5%A1%D5%B7%D5%AB%D5%B6%D5%B8%D6%82%D5%A9%D5%B5%D5%A1%D5%B6%20%D5%AD%D5%B8%D6%80%D5%B0%D6%80%D5%A4%D5%AB%20%D5%B0%D5%A1%D5%BE%D5%A1%D5%B6%D5%B8%D6%82%D5%A9%D5%B5%D5%A1%D5%B6%D5%A8\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">press statement<\/span><\/strong><\/a> issued by the municipality, present at the meeting were 27 out of the urban council&#8217;s 30 members, who discussed the proposal for a hotel designed by architect Narek Sargsyan.<\/p>\n<p>With 24 in favor and 3 abstaining, council members approved the proposal.<\/p>\n<p>Another item on the agenda was the discussion of building a 20-story hotel on 36 Aram St.. The proposal was presented by architect Albert Karoyan.
