{"id":124706,"date":"2011-09-07T11:34:39","date_gmt":"2011-09-07T06:34:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=124706"},"modified":"2011-09-07T11:35:11","modified_gmt":"2011-09-07T06:35:11","slug":"man-accused-of-threatening-google-exec-via-twitter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/09\/07\/man-accused-of-threatening-google-exec-via-twitter.html","title":{"rendered":"Man Accused of Threatening Google Exec Via Twitter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A federal grand jury in San Francisco has charged a San Antonio man with harassing a high-ranking Google executive with more than 20,000 Twitter posts, some of which were threatening, <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/feeds\/ap\/2011\/09\/06\/technology-us-twitter-threats-google_8661342.html\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">AP reports<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to court records, Gregory Calvin King was arrested in Texas last month and transported to San Francisco to face charges he threatened Google vice president Marissa Mayer, the company&#8217;s first female engineer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The indictment identified the alleged victim only as &#8220;M.M.&#8221; but King&#8217;s Twitter account shows him sending thousands of threatening posts to Mayer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>King faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.
