{"id":127286,"date":"2011-09-15T17:27:09","date_gmt":"2011-09-15T12:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=127286"},"modified":"2011-09-15T17:27:09","modified_gmt":"2011-09-15T12:27:09","slug":"yerevan-metros-new-train-begins-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/09\/15\/yerevan-metros-new-train-begins-service.html","title":{"rendered":"Yerevan Metro&#8217;s New Train Begins Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new stock of cars with modern furniture and the latest technology have joined the Yerevan Metro fleet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Participating in today&#8217;s launch of the new cars, which were decked out in festive decorations, was First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan \u2014 who also happened to be one of the train&#8217;s first drivers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Margaryan toured the cars and assured himself that everything was done to ensure comfortable rides, according to a <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.yerevan.am\/1_2852_news_2852\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">press release<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> published on the municipality&#8217;s official website.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first deputy mayor also surveyed the cabin equipped with automatic control systems. Drivers of the new cars underwent training to become acquainted with the new technology.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Yerevan Metro Director Paylak Yayloyan remarked that the new train adapted to European standards is the first but won&#8217;t be the last. The new train is operational for 15 years.
