Earlier, he promised to take the Russian Ministry of Culture to court if he is made redundant.<\/p>\n<p>Gorenstein recently came under fire for publicly insulting cellist <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2011\/07\/01\/after-scandal-armenian-cellist-awarded-first-prize-in-tchaikovsky-competition.html\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Narek Hakhnazaryan<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>, who was representing Armenia in the 14th International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.<\/p>\n<p>As <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2011\/06\/27\/russian-symphony-conductor-apologizes-for-insulting-armenian-cellist.html\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">previously reported<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span>, at rehearsals on Jun. 25, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia (Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra) and National Artist of Russia Mark Gorenstein told the orchestra: \u201cDon\u2019t let it concern you at all what this talent, this aul [a small village in the mountains; meant to indicate lack of respect] presented to us is playing.
