{"id":134520,"date":"2011-10-11T16:13:20","date_gmt":"2011-10-11T11:13:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=134520"},"modified":"2011-10-11T16:13:20","modified_gmt":"2011-10-11T11:13:20","slug":"kocharian-family-vs-jamanak-daily-ruling-remains-unchanged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/10\/11\/kocharian-family-vs-jamanak-daily-ruling-remains-unchanged.html","title":{"rendered":"Kocharian Family vs. Jamanak Daily: Ruling Remains Unchanged"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Armenia&#8217;s Civil Court of Appeal today rejected an appeal by local daily Jamanak (&#8220;Times&#8221;), which was contesting an earlier court ruling issued on Jun. 6, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>This news was conveyed to Epress.am by Sargis Grigoryan, the attorney representing the Kocharian family.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts of Yerevan had mandated the newspaper to pay 3 million drams (about $8,000 US) in compensation to Bella and Sedrak Kocharian (the wife and son of former Armenian president Robert Kocharian, respectively) for publishing material damaging to the family&#8217;s honor and dignity.
