{"id":137141,"date":"2011-10-26T17:31:49","date_gmt":"2011-10-26T12:31:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=137141"},"modified":"2011-10-26T17:40:16","modified_gmt":"2011-10-26T12:40:16","slug":"armenian-photographers-brought-home-most-awards-in-krasnodar-photography-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/10\/26\/armenian-photographers-brought-home-most-awards-in-krasnodar-photography-festival.html","title":{"rendered":"Armenian Photographers Brought Home Most Awards in Krasnodar Photography Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Armenian photographers received the most awards at the <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/photovisa.ru\/festivals\/6\/contests?locale=en\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">contest<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> as part of the 3rd <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/photovisa.ru\/festivals?locale=en\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Photovisa International Festival of Photography<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong> in Krasnodar, Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Participants from 21 countries presented their work in three categories on this year&#8217;s theme, &#8220;The Road&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Out of a possible 9 awards, 4 were picked up by the photographers who arrived from Armenia. Photojournalist and documentary photographer Nazik Armenakian (pictured, below) secured first place with her photo series &#8220;Another Road&#8221; (or &#8220;Another Way&#8221;),\u00a0which explores the life of transpeople in Armenia,\u00a0in the category &#8220;Relationships between Humans and the Environment&#8221;, while Haik Bianjanyan (pictured below, far right) took second prize with his work &#8220;Disappearing Memories&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/ANaz.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-137087 aligncenter\" title=\"ANaz\" src=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/ANaz.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/epress.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/ANaz.jpg 510w, https:\/\/epress.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/ANaz-300x205.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another Armenian photographer, Anahit Hayrapetyan (pictured below, far left), took home the third prize for her series &#8220;The Life of Katharine&#8221;.
