{"id":137743,"date":"2011-10-28T16:12:14","date_gmt":"2011-10-28T11:12:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=137743"},"modified":"2011-10-28T16:41:36","modified_gmt":"2011-10-28T11:41:36","slug":"yerevan-mayor-karen-karapetyan-armenia-president-respected-my-decision-to-resign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/10\/28\/yerevan-mayor-karen-karapetyan-armenia-president-respected-my-decision-to-resign.html","title":{"rendered":"Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan: Armenia President &#8216;Respected my Decision&#8217; to Resign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a televised interview with ArmNews Armenian News Channel Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan confirmed reports of his resignation, confessing that the decision was a very difficult one to make.<\/p>\n<p>The former chief executive of <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.armrusgasprom.am\/\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">ArmRosGazprom<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> (alternatively spelled ArmRusGasprom) at the same time refuted rumors that he&#8217;s leaving his post due to disagreements with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan or any of the president&#8217;s staff. He called such rumors &#8220;absurd&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>According to Karapetyan, the trust of the president and ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) in him has been immense.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The president respected my decision; we had a great talk.
