{"id":143840,"date":"2011-11-23T18:02:49","date_gmt":"2011-11-23T14:02:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=143840"},"modified":"2011-11-23T18:03:51","modified_gmt":"2011-11-23T14:03:51","slug":"osce-minsk-group-new-french-co-chair-to-assume-duties-in-january-source","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/11\/23\/osce-minsk-group-new-french-co-chair-to-assume-duties-in-january-source.html","title":{"rendered":"OSCE Minsk Group New French Co-Chair to Assume Duties in January: Source"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new French co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group on resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Jacques Faure will take up his duties in January, a diplomatic source in France told the Baku-based <a href=\"http:\/\/en.trend.az\/news\/karabakh\/1960730.html\">Trend<\/a> news agency on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>He will replace the current French co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Bernard Fassier, who will complete his mission by late 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Fassier plans to pay his last visit to the region in late November.<\/p>\n<p>Currently Faure is the French Ambassador to Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>The disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh broke away from Azerbaijan after a bloody war in the 1990s and is populated mainly by ethnic Armenians.
