As a result of mass demonstrations over the past few days, government has changed hands and the situation has become extremely dangerous for foreign female journalists.<\/p>\n<p>So much so that <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.rsf.org\/egypt-media-urged-to-stop-sending-women-25-11-2011,41465.html\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Reporters Without Borders<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> has urged news organizations to stop sending female reporters to cover the demonstrations in Tahrir Square, after a French reporter, Caroline Sinz, became the latest female journalist to be sexually assaulted there, reports <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/middle-east-live\/2011\/nov\/25\/egypt-protest-friday-of-the-last-chance-live-updates\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The Guardian<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong> on its live blog of the coverage on the Egypt protests.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.euronews.net\/2011\/11\/25\/reporters-claims-of-sexual-assault-in-cairo\/\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Euronews<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong> quoted Sinz as saying: &#8220;We were hit, and then separated. Very few women, especially foreign, are in Tahrir Square. I was grabbed by several men and I suffered a sexual assault in front of everyone in full daylight. Other women journalists were physically attacked. It is a way to intimidate the press.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The assault on Sinz came just hours after US-based Egyptian journalist Mona Eltahawy <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/2011\/nov\/24\/journalist-mona-eltahawy-detained-cairo\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">reported<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong> on Twitter that she was sexually and physically assaulted while being held inside the interior ministry in Cairo on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The latest wave of protests has led to the worst violence since the fall of President Hosni Mubarak in February.
