The Armenian-American businessman is suffering from an intestinal impasse.<\/p>\n<p>As told to local daily Haykakan Jamanak (&#8220;Armenian Times&#8221;) by Der-Boghossian&#8217;s attorney, Givi Hovhannisyan, the Yerevan-Kentron penitentiary inmate is being examined by local doctors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They are checking to see how advanced [his condition] is. After the doctors examine him, it will be clear whether he&#8217;ll be taken to hospital or not. But the issue is serious, and after this examination, we&#8217;ll ask him to be transferred to another hospital,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Dec. 17 is the last day that Der-Boghossian can appeal the Lori court&#8217;s ruling that sentenced him to 15 years behind bars. His attorney earlier had said that he will say whether they&#8217;ll appeal only after consulting with his client.
